I really wanted to stand in line to get my iPad2. Not just because I’d get it right away, but because I’m one of those crazy people who thinks these kind of events are fun. The anticipation. The excitement. The camaraderie. I feed off of it!
But then I read this article passed on to me from Chris Spiek.
It’s a great piece by Mashable that says even if you stand in line the store might not have the exact model you’re looking for when you get to the front. Zoinks! Well, that revelation did it for me. I’ll be ordering online at 4AM tomorrow morning. See you online then?
!^&*%@*!#&*@&#*@&*(#@ 4am *grumble grumble*
HAHAHAHAHAHA! That is all.
Ordering online is always a smart move. I read that places even ran out of stock so some people who waited in line still didn’t get the iPad2 until a later date. Luckily I got mine as a birthday gift so someone else did the waiting and purchasing for me. One of my favorite apps so far is the DISH Remote Access app; I work for DISH Network so it was one of the first ones I downloaded. The DISH app lets me watch TV, live and recorded, and manage my recordings anywhere I have internet access. Other providers offer similar apps but none can stream live TV outside of the home network like DISH. Now that’s what I call ahead of the curve.
